At The Grove, the Local Outreach Team oversees our efforts to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community through Manna Ministry and many other events throughout the year.
Manna Ministry
Manna Ministry's goal is "to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the community." Every Thursday we prepare hot meals and sack lunches as we minister to the homeless and marginalized among us. We’d love for you to join us!
Upcoming Local Outreach Service Events
Thanksgiving Food Drive
Our neighborhood Thanksgiving Food Drive takes place every year during the two Sundays before Thanksgiving. The food we collect benefits The Grove's Manna Ministry as well as Downers Grove's FISH Food Pantry.
Backpack & Supply Drive
Each year in mid-summer we partner with local schools for our annual Backpack Drive. School supplies and backpacks are provided to local students and families in need of assistance.
